sparks Prologue

Prologue

A man in a black cloak stands here in the clearing of a deep forest waiting for someone.  The forest was quite and surrounding trees were bowing in the wind.  There was an ominous feel in the air.  Then there out of now where a rustle came from the bushes behind the cloaked man.  He spun around drawing his sword, ready to defend in case it was an enemy.  He watched as another cloaked figure stepped out of the bushes.  
"Whoa!  It's just me Spark you can put your sword away." The other cloaked figure said
His cloak was navy blue and he must have been in his twenties.  His hair was as green as grass, with part of it hanging over his left eye.  
"You're late!" growled spark
"When am I ever on time? I am either early or late, I have never been on time." The man smiled a wry smile. "What did you want to speak to me about anyway Spark?"
"Spike I'm going on a journey and I don't know when I'll be coming back, so I want you to keep the town safe while I'm gone." Spark replied while turning to leave"I'll be leaving within the next half an hour."
"Well then I guess this is good bye for now.  We will be waiting for your return." Spike said "Wait! I almost forgot!"
"What did you almost forget?" Spark asked as he turned back around.
"Your sister wanted me to give this to you." Spike told Spark as he handed over the amber colored stone with flames on inside "She made it for you.  She said it will be of use to you when the time comes.  Well I should head back it's getting late. I guess I'll see you when you get back.  Good bye Spark."  He finished as he turned back towards town and slipped into the darkness.
"I hope I made the right decision by leaving him in charge,he still is childish in many ways I hope this won't be too much responsibility for him."  He sighed "Now sis what element am I holding in my hands this time?"  He looks down at the stone and noticed a small flame in the stone and he smiled "So it is fire."  Spark put the stone in his pocket. "I wonder why she picked fire." He said as he started down the path. "A new path that will lead me to the start of a new epic journey filled with new allies and enemies, there will surely be action and adventure to come."
